The Udaan Scholarship 2025 is a scheme designed by the JSW Foundation in 2002. It is intended to provide financial wing spread to meritorious students from underprivileged backgrounds helping them to pursue higher education in technical, professional and general streams.
About Udaan Scholarship 2025
The Udaan scholarship program initiated by the UVCE Foundation, is designed to assist academically talented students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who are enrolled at the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering ( UVCE). The program supports students pursuing B.E. ( Ist to 4th year ) and B.Arch ( 1st to 5th year ) by easing their financial burden and enabling them to continue their education without interruption.
Funded by the generous contributions of UVCE alumni from across the globe, UDAAN not only provides financial assistance but also focuses on the holistic development of students. Beneficiaries gain access to skill development workshops, professional training programs, mentorship and personality enhancement activities, all aimed at improving communication abilities, career preparedness and overall personal development.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a Citizen of India
- Applicable to both genders and categories
- Must be a full-time BE student ( 1st to 4th year ) or a B.Arch student (1st to 5th year ) enrolled at UVCE.
- Applicants should have maintained consistent academic performance throughout their studies.
- First-year students should secure a KCET rank below 10,000.
- Annual family income must be below ₹5,00,000 supported by valid documents.
- Students should have commitment and motivation toward personal and professional development and be eager to participate in UDAAN’s training and mentoring activities.
Assessment Process
- Online screening: Verification of academic marks and income certificates.
- Shortlisting: Based on Need vs Merit criteria
- Video submission: Applicants must submit a 30-40 second selfie video explaining their financial need.
- Personal interview: Conducted by alumni donors to understand the student’s background and goals.
Financial Benefits
- Tuition support: Full or partial tuition fee reimbursement is typically ₹ 25,000
- Living support: Special scholarships for female students to cover hostel and living expenses up to ₹ 50,000.
