The Scholarship program provides substantial financial assistance to female students who have secured admission to the first year of professional undergraduate studies. Recognising that professional education can be financially draining, Kotak Mahindra Group aims to ensure that brilliance doesn’t come in batches and that financial hurdles do not stop talented young women from becoming doctors, engineers, lawyers, or architects.

The Scholarship aims to bridge the gender gap in higher education by providing a robust financial and developmental support system for girls from low-income families. It also aims to empower these students to pursue high-value professional degrees at India’s premier NIRF and NAAC-accredited institutions. Eligibility Criteria
- Open to meritorious girl students across India.
- Applicants must secure at least 75% marks or more marks or an equivalent CGPA in the class 12 board examination.
- Annual Income of the family must not exceed ₹ 6,00,000.
- Meritorious girl students who have secured admission to the first year of graduation program in the academic year 2025-26 in institutes of repute like NIRF/NAAC accredited for professional graduation degrees, such as Engineering, MBBS, Integrated LLB (5 Years), Integrated BS-MS/BS-Research, in ISER, IISC(Bangalore), or other professional courses (Design, Architecture, etc.)
- Children of employees of Kotak Mahindra Group, Kotak Education Foundation, and Buddy4Study are not eligible to apply for Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2025- 26.
Assessment Process
- Initial Screening: Applications are filtered based on academic merit and income eligibility
- Documents Verification: Shortlisted candidates get a rigorous check of their submitted certificates.
- Interview Round: Shortlisted candidates are invited for a two-round interview to assess their motivation and background
- Final Selection: Scholars are chosen based on a cumulative score of merit, financial need and interview performance.

- INR 1.5 per year till completion of her professional graduation course or degree.
