Tech for India Fellowship is an initiative by Tech for India, a non profit organisation for young graduates from the Universities and workplaces to serve a full time teachers for childrens belonging to underprivileged background. Under this fellowship, the selected candidates will be able to explore their leadership skills, and mindset required for educational equity.
About Tech for India Fellowship 2026
Tech for India fellowship 2026 launched by Tech for India is a program designed to bridge the educational gap in India. Fellows are placed in English medium government or private schools across major cities in India. The program is not just about teaching but about the leadership development journey that equips participants with skills in project management, stakeholder engagement and collective action. An Amount of ₹25,344 monthly stipend will be given as a reward to the fellows . The application process of the program is open to all applicants. However, the deadline of the Application is 8 February 2026 .
Objective of Tech for India Fellowship 2026
The Scholarship aimed to build a movement of leaders who will eliminate educational inequity in India. By working at the grass-roots level, fellows understand the complexities of the education system and develop empathy and grit required to drive systematic change as future policy makers, entrepreneurs and educators.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an Indian Citizen or an overseas Citizen of India
- Hold at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university by June or July 2026
- Must be applying for the first time for the 2026 cohort
- Must be fluent in English as teaching and training are conducted in English
Assessment Process
- Stage 1 ( Application & Test ): Includes academic history, professional experience and an online English proficiency assessment
- Stage 2 ( Interview ): A short 30 minutes interview to understand your motivation & fit.
- Stage 3 ( Assessment Centre ): The final round involving a sample teaching session, a group activity, a critical thinking test and a personal interview
Financial Assistance
- A monthly stipend of ₹25,344 and other benefits.
Other benefits includes :
- A housing allowance of ₹6,000–12,600
- Reimbursements for work-related expenses
- Health insurance of up to ₹1, 00,000
- Casual and sick leave & Holidays
- Access to the career fair after the Fellowship.
Note:- Fellows relocating to a different city become eligible for the housing allowance only once they move to their respective Teach For India placement city.
